Adventure with Elephants:

Conservation through education. As numbers of elephants have decreased by some 350% in the last 70 years and by 110 000 elephants in the last ten years (Great Elephant Census) due to poaching and habitat loss, we are honoured to have saved a few. We are even more thrilled to be able to connect you with Elephants through our unique interactions, so that you might see them for what they are, and therefore think a little bit more about their future, and indeed many other species, in an ever changing and modernising Africa.

RHCRU:

RHCRU works to facilitate research to help create a better, brighter future for elephants & conservation across Africa. The seven elephants at Adventures with Elephants are involved in numerous research projects that benefit the entire species as well as humanity.

Turning Dung into Firepower:

Our unique firelighters are crafted from a surprising yet powerful source: dried elephant dung. Don’t worry, it’s not what you think! We source our dung ethically from elephant sanctuaries and reserves, where it’s a readily available dung product. By transforming this unwanted material into an eco-friendly fuel source, we’re reducing landfill waste and contributing to a circular economy.

Long-Lasting Flames, Naturally:

But sustainability isn’t our only benefit. Great Dung Balls of Fire burn long and hot, up to 35 minutes per ball in wind still conditions! That means less fire-building hassle and more time enjoying the warmth and ambiance of your fire.
